Back to School Lunch Ideas
There are a lot of moms here at goop, and even the most organized and culinarily gifted of the bunch are sometimes subject to major lunchbox ruts. With the new school year upon us, we needed some inspiration—our favorite place to get it? Chef parents (the combo of skill and insane schedule usually means the food they cook at home is both seriously delicious and relatively simple). Last year, chef dads shared some tried-and-true recipes; this time around, we asked four chef moms for their lunchbox go-to’s.

Super Welcomes Students on Jan 8th!
Happy New Year! After our holiday break, Atlanta Public Schools (APS) is ready to welcome all students back to kick off the second half of our school year! We are looking forward to a great start to the year and a great day of learning on Monday, January 8th.
It is going to be a busy weekend in metro Atlanta as we prepare to welcome our students back and as the events and activities surrounding the College Football National Championship game get underway. This promises to be an exciting event for our city, and APS is thrilled about the spotlight and opportunity this event brings to our area.

Workday Wellness
Wellness is a thing most people only think about when they’re suddenly unwell. I bet you’ve experienced more than one morning when you couldn’t get out of bed and swore to yourself that you’ll “do better” in taking care of yourself from now on.
Unfortunately, those sickbed declarations don’t actually stick unless you have a game plan to live a healthier life every day. Lucky for you, I’m a wellness expert, and I’ve crafted the perfect 24-hour routine for you to try if you want to feel more energetic, more productive, and healthier:

WINTER BREAK CAMP
What do Iron Man’s suit, the city of Bricksburg from The LEGO Movie, and Disney’s opening film sequence have in common? Design! The work of designers is key to telling the stories we love in film.
Will Robots Take Our Children’s Jobs?
Via @New York Times
Like a lot of children, my sons, Toby, 7, and Anton, 4, are obsessed with robots. In the children’s books they devour at bedtime, happy, helpful robots pop up more often than even dragons or dinosaurs. The other day I asked Toby why children like robots so much.
“Because they work for you,” he said.
What I didn’t have the heart to tell him is, someday he might work for them — or, I fear, might not work at all, because of them.
How To Get The Little Ones To Sleep on Christmas Eve
Via ( Goop)
Getting kids to bed on a regular night is tough, but on the evenings before big events—Christmas, birthdays, the first day of school—it’s pretty much impossible. Osteopath Vicky Vlachonis can lull even the most wired little one to sleep, and so we asked her for some tips.
The Top Six Cocoa Brands
For those cold nights ahead! Via Kitchen
There are few things more comforting on a cold winter day than a warm mug of hot cocoa; it’s like a hug from the inside out. Hot cocoa is the kind of sweet drink that can spark memories from childhood snow days or that ski trip you took last year.
With winter moving in quickly, I thought it was the perfect time to sip on some of the different hot cocoa options out there. Here are our thoughts on the six brands we tried, as well as our favorite brand. Want to see our top pick?
Hot Cocoa Versus Hot Chocolate
While we often use these names interchangeably, hot cocoa and hot chocolate are actually two different drinks. Hot cocoa, while it doesn’t contain actual chocolate, is a chocolate-flavored drink made by mixing cocoa powder with a sweetener and hot water. Hot chocolate, on the other hand, is a chocolate drink that’s made by mixing shaved, ground, or another form of actual chocolate with a sweetener and hot water or milk.
This taste test focused only on hot cocoa.
